Your leadership asks a straightforward question: How is call quality trending across all our platforms?
The answer is in the data somewhere, but getting to it means logging into one portal, exporting the records, opening a second portal for the platform the first one does not cover, and rebuilding the whole thing in a spreadsheet before the end of the day.
If that sounds familiar, then your environment cannot answer for itself yet, so you have become the reporting layer. That works until it doesn’t, and it never scales.
Most teams can’t identify where the gaps sit and which one is costing them the most right now. A structured self-assessment gives you that answer.

An intelligent communications environment can do three things: answer its own questions, run routine admin work from a defined process, and take questions in plain language from the people who depend on it.
The order matters more than most teams expect. Analytics is the floor because you can’t automate against data you don’t trust. Automation builds on analytics. AI builds on both. A weak layer low in the stack caps the value of everything above it.
That is why scoring each capability on its own tells you more than a single overall grade. A high AI score sitting on a weak analytics score is the least stable result of all, because a system answering from data it cannot fully see will sound confident and still be wrong.
Take one question your leadership actually asks and see how you reach the answer.
On analytics, start with visibility:
On automation, look at provisioning:
On AI, look at who can get an answer:
Most environments are strong in one capability and weak in the other two. Control Hub, Analyzer, CAR, CUIC, and the Microsoft Teams admin console were each built to configure and give visibility into their respective platform with varying depths. Microsoft's own Call Quality Dashboard gives a network-wide view of call quality, but only for Teams, so a mixed estate still leaves you stitching platforms together by hand.
Your profile tells you what to build next:
The full assessment in the Communications Intelligence Playbook scores each capability out of 12, bands your result, and shows you how to read your profile. It also covers the ten KPIs worth tracking across Cisco, Webex Calling, Webex Contact Center, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom Phone.
